Versatility & innovation of Aplio i-series to be showcased alongside explanation of how clinical confidence and patient outcomes can be enhanced
A demonstration of Canon Medical Systems’ latest ultrasound technology will be delivered to delegates attending the 50th annual scientific meeting of the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS), held in Manchester, 4-6th December 2018.
The Aplio i-series, Canon Medical Systems’ most innovative ultrasound system, will be showcased on stand 7 in the exhibition hall together with hands-on clinical sessions in a private demonstration suite. In addition, seven BMUS workshops will provide practical training to clinicians and sonographers as part of the conference programme: MSK Fundamentals; Advanced MSK; Carotid; Elastography; Perfecting Liver & Doppler Techniques; Bowel; and Interventional.
The Aplio i-series ultrasound system from Canon Medical Systems, formerly known as Toshiba Medical Systems, is designed to power productivity for all clinical disciplines, from Obstetric and Gynae exams, to MSK, and Vascular investigations. The Aplio i-series is compact for excellent manoeuvrability and boasts ultra-wideband transducers that cover the same bandwidth as two conventional probes, providing superior sensitivity and image quality.
The Aplio-i series also features Superb Micro-vascular Imaging (SMI) to expand the range of visible low-velocity microvascular flow seen in diagnostic ultrasound and delivers colour flow visualisation giving greater clinical confidence when evaluating lesions, cysts and tumours. Advanced applications include a wide range of navigation tools to ensure accuracy during or when planning interventional procedures such as biopsies or virtual endoscopies, plus measurement tools for Elastography. Furthermore, the Aplio i-series can be operated from a wireless tablet, beneficial during sterile interventional procedures, or during MSK and vascular exams when it is difficult to reach the panel and scan the patient without losing sight of the monitor. This second console can be invaluable in teaching situations.
