Enriching communities through partnerships

Our vision to enrich every life we touch goes beyond diagnostic imaging systems. Through our partnerships, we strive to create social value in communities and contribute towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

By working directly with communities and charities, we promote good health and wellbeing through initiatives that truly matter.

From empowering young people in South Yorkshire through the RESPECT programmes to sponsoring life-changing support dogs and advancing gender equality, our partnerships are committed to enriching every life we touch.

Our Partnerships

Using sport to foster
healthy communities

We fund two programmes that promote physical activity, healthy lifestyles, online safety, and good citizenship to young people in South Yorkshire, through basketball coaching and workshops.

The programmes use relatable, professional basketball players as role models for vulnerable young people. Tackling social issues resulting from economic inequality and helping to build resilient communities.

Transforming lives
with canine
companions

Since 2019, we’ve sponsored the charity Support Dogs to help support training and provide specialist assistance dogs to people with epilepsy, autism, or other disabilities – helping them lead richer, more independent lives.

The dogs provide life-saving support to their owners, usually by advanced detection and warning of an oncoming seizure, improving daily life and reducing the need to rely on NHS services.

Encouraging diversity
in sport

Sheffield Hatters were the UK’s first women’s basketball team and have championed equality in sport since their founding in 1961.

Our sponsorship enables the team to continue playing and undertake outreach work in the local community, acting as role models and promoting diversity and equal opportunity.

Improving equal opportunities
and reducing emissions

By partnering with CO2balance, we support programmes in Uganda and Kenya that improve women’s and children’s lives, reduce deforestation, and have provided 39 million litres of clean water so far.

These programmes also help reduce emissions by minimising the need to boil water for sanitisation. By providing energy efficient cookstoves that emit less carbon dioxide, we contribute to reducing respiratory illnesses.
