BUILDING AN INCLUSIVE CULTURE TOGETHER
We strive to create a workplace where everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work.
Our vision is simple yet powerful: to enrich every life we touch. We are working to develop a better society, underpinning our desire for a more equitable, diverse and inclusive world.
We are dedicated to creating a culture that mirrors the diverse communities in which we operate and the customers we serve across the UK. To achieve this, we are creating an environment where we can all belong and thrive personally and professionally.
OUR JOURNEY SO FAR
Our journey toward a more inclusive workplace is well underway, and we are seeing strong momentum in integrating Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) values throughout the company.
We’re ranked 46th in the UK
We are proud to be a member of Inclusive Companies, a leading organisation dedicated to promoting and supporting diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Our membership underscores our ongoing commitment to fostering a truly inclusive culture and holding ourselves accountable to industry best practices.
Recognition as 46th in the 2024/25 Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers list reflects our dedication and ongoing improvements.
Employee-Led Special Projects Focus Group (SPFG)
Our EDI SPFG is at the heart of driving positive change. They serve as a vital forum, addressing challenges and promoting EDI within our organisation.
Driven by our team members, they play an active role in promoting awareness and driving change. Building on valuable feedback from our team and insights from a recent audit of our EDI culture, they are contributing to the development of our new EDI strategy, set to be rolled out in 2025, ensuring that our approach to EDI remains relevant and impactful. This strategy will be guided by clear, actionable goals that reflect our ongoing dedication to inclusivity.
Building An Inclusive Future Through Recruitment
As an equal opportunities employer, we ensure that all candidates are assessed fairly and solely based on their skills, qualifications, and experience. We are committed to promoting equality in every aspect of our recruitment process and workplace culture.
We also recognise that every individual has unique needs and circumstances. As part of our commitment to inclusivity, we are able to offer reasonable adjustments during the application, interview, and employment process to support candidates and employees with disabilities, long-term health conditions, or other personal circumstances.
Giving Our Team Members A Voice
We believe that listening to every one of our team members is essential for fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace. By actively engaging with our team through surveys, workshops, and 1:1 interviews, we are ensuring that our EDI strategy and initiatives are aligned with their needs, as well as empower them to be part of the change.
We actively seek team engagement, so that every voice has the opportunity to be heard, is valued, and acted upon as we continue to evolve and strengthen our dedication to inclusivity.
Integrating EDI into our DNA
Leadership is central to embedding EDI across every level of our organisation.
Our senior leaders are committed to modelling inclusive behaviours, holding themselves accountable, and ensuring that EDI principles are integrated into every aspect of our work.
To further strengthen this commitment, our senior leaders have undergone specialised training in EDI to deepen their understanding and enhance their ability to foster an inclusive culture. This leadership-driven approach ensures that equity, diversity, and inclusion are not just policies, but are a core part of our culture.
Looking Ahead
We believe that EDI is not just the right thing to do – it is foundational to the success of our vision to enrich every life we touch, creating value for our people, our business, and the communities we serve.
As we look to the future, we remain committed to evolving and refining our approach to EDI to ensure it remains at the heart of everything we do.
“By creating an inclusive culture, we not only care for our people and strengthen our business, but we also make a meaningful impact on the communities we serve. Together, we’re building a future where inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do.”
