Director of Ultrasound Sales
Moving into the world of sales, his byword was ‘growth’. So, Stuart was instrumental in successful launches, expansions and acquisitions across several organisations, including Leibinger UK, within the Pfizer Medical Technology Group and the Stryker Corporation.
After many years immersed in accelerated organisational development, his move to Toshiba Medical Systems UK as the Ultrasound Sales Manager was both a natural next step and a means to reconnect his clinical expertise with the day-to-day needs of customers. Three years on he was appointed Director of Ultrasound and has since enjoyed nurturing an ethos of mutual respect, trust and honesty within his geographically dispersed team of more than thirty sales and applications specialists. His ‘open door policy’ means that Stuart is frequently consulted and valued for his expertise in high value contracts and tenders.
It is a way of working which very much reflects Canon’s core values and corporate philosophy of Kyosei – living and working together for the common good. Stuart and his team know the value of their work and the role they play in supporting clinicians to enhance the lives of others. It is a point of great personal pride to Stuart that he has been able to contribute to society in this way for the entirety of his career.
And it is a career that has given him the opportunity to meet and work with extraordinary people, travelling the world in the process. Today, however, he loves nothing more than to explore his local countryside with his wife and Ziggy the dog.
