Ultrasound/CT Field Service Engineer

Northern Ireland

We have an exciting new vacancy as Ultrasound/ CT Field Service Engineer to join our team covering a range of regions as per above. The role is split as 75% Ultrasound & 25% CT focus.

Field based, this is a customer facing role that services, installs, maintains and modifies Canon Medical Systems equipment within the regional area, occasionally providing support to other regions throughout the United Kingdom and across Europe.

As part of the field engineering team, this role provides both onsite and telephone support to Canon Medical Systems customers.

Working individually and as part of a team this role is key in ensuring customers’ needs are met and equipment has the maximum possible uptime in line with business performance indicators and ISO quality management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • To perform planned preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • To carry out adjustments and log retrieval on systems.
  • To attend pre-diagnosed level 1 breakdowns and parts replacements.
  • To carry out proven level 1 FMI’s within the required deadlines.
  • To carry out proven level 1 software updates within the required deadlines.
  • To provide onsite assistance (second pair of hands) as required.
  • Any other level 1 tasks as defined by the service management team.

 

Requirements for all engineers:

  • Use of OSC (oracle service cloud)
  • Use of FIX’s/ COMPASS
  • Parts handling
  • Able to demonstrate strong customer facing skills.
  • To work within and to the guidelines set out in the working expectations document.
  • To follow the escalation process as per SOP-0268 Service Call-outs.
  • To follow all relevant safety procedures and to ensure health and safety training is up to date at all times.

 

Experience/Qualifications required:

  • Good general standard of education, with excellent written and spoken English.
  • Engineering qualification (ONC level is desirable) or equivalent experience.
  • A valid driving licence.
  • Must hold proof of right to work in the UK.
  • Successful Disclosure and Barring checks (formally known as CRB checks) at basic level.

Ultrasound Clinical Applications Specialist

South East

We have a fantastic new opportunity for a motivated, passionate individual to provide clinical applications support to new and existing Canon Medical Systems customers and to promote the full range of Ultrasound and other associated equipment in the South East region.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support regional sales activities ensuring modality financial targets are met
  • Supporting presentations and demonstrations of Canon’s full modality and associated equipment range.
  • Attendance at exhibitions and lectures in the UK and abroad when necessary, to collect information on competitors’ development and new techniques as approved by Regional Manager.
  1. Delivery of company values and maintenance of key relationships (internal and external)
  • To maintain contact with the modality teams and regional sales teams on a day-to-day basis.
  1. Deliver modality training for Sales and Specialist teams
  • Advising UK sales team on new products and techniques and, when necessary, advising of Service Engineers in product functionality and image appreciation.

  • Direct liaison with the Service Department on system-related issues.
  1. Maintain close relationship with CMSE modality BU team
  • Liaison with the Business Unit in CMSE, as well as attendance at product and applications meetings, to bring back information on new products, developments and to feedback marketing information requested by, or useful to, CMSE and the UK.
  1. Follow and complete relevant processes
  • Completion of reports utilising Compass, in accordance to agreed management policies and Working Standards.
  • To maintain records of all the above activities and sales information, and other procedures described by management under ISO9001/ISO12001 processes.

 

Experience/Qualifications Required:

  • Qualified Radiographer – degree or DCR
  • Postgraduate, or equivalent, qualification in medical ultrasound
  • 3 years modality specific experience with time spent on modern technology at Senior Radiographer level
  • Exceptional communicator with demonstrable presentation skills
  • Computer literate
  • Must hold current HCPC registration
  • Must hold valid proof of right to work in the UK
  • Must hold a valid driving licence
  • An enhanced DBS Disclosure will be required for this role

Service Support Coordinator

We have 2 exciting new vacancies for Service Support Coordinator based at the Crawley Office to support our growing Service Support Team.

The Service Support Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that day to day service support activities are completed smoothly and effectively, supporting customers working within a demanding health care environment. You will forge close working relationships with both your team members and the national engineering teams as part of the role, in order to complete the functions required from a call centre and the wider needs of the business.

The Service Support Centre is a very busy and ever changing environment to be a part of, with a wide range of both reactive and proactive responsibilities for each member of the team. The priorities and demands of the business will determine what level of focus is to be applied to different tasks, as determined by the Service Support Manager and Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of the Service Support Coordinator – are set out below, however the priorities of the business will determine what level of focus is to be applied to the different tasks, as determined by the Service Support Manager and Support Team Leader.

  1. Managing all service related communication with customers, both internal and external.
  2. Managing all service tasks using Oracle Service Cloud and Oracle Field Service.

 

Oracle Service Cloud

  1. To log customer calls, create tasks and check contract status.
  2. To escalate calls to Regional Service Managers, Service Team Leaders and Service Support Manager when appropriate and in line with the escalation process.
  3. To manage all open service requests and tasks in Service Cloud, ensuring all tasks have a valid email address and including closing down SOS service requests on a daily basis.
  4. To close down tasks and service requests, reassigning PPM dates as requested by service contracts.
  5. To carry out daily dashboard checks, including management of past tasks not completed and past tasks completed with errors.
  6. To run report showing PPM task status to ensure no PPMs are overdue.
  7. To manage and assign auto created PPM tasks, including assigning and scheduling engineer and communicating dates to customer.
  8. To plan FMIs prior to deadlines.
  9. To manage primary contacts in OSC, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.

Oracle Field Service

  1. To manage country and regional buckets, moving to the appropriate location.
  2. To raise personal tasks, including holiday, sickness and training for the engineering team.
  3. To check activation and deactivation of engineers on a daily basis.
  4. To move PPM tasks into engineers’ unscheduled buckets.

GAIA

  1. To carry out installed base transfer and expire installed base as appropriate.
  2. To amend warrantee dates from Customer Acceptance Certificate.
  3. To order replacement probes, including MVS probes and attaching in GAIE and update warrantee order book.
  4. To raise quotations for chargeable parts.
  5. To order parts for service requests/planned jobs.
  6. To order commercial parts, including raising RMAs.

Other tasks

  1. To mentor and assist other Coordinators, with knowledge sharing and be proactive in a team environment to get all tasks completed as a single unit.
  2. To liaise with third part companies regarding supply/hire of third party items (helium, ladders, genie hoists etc.).
  3. To create service folders for new installations.
  4. To raise purchase orders for service.
  5. To book hotels and flights for engineers as required.
  6. To scan and attach documents into Service Cloud and GAIA.
  7. Any other tasks as defined by the Service management team.

Requirements:

  1. Good standard of general education with excellent written and spoken English.
  2. Competent in the use of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, email systems with understanding and experience of using CRM tool.
  3. Strong customer service skills and telephone manner.
  4. Administration experience.
  5. Ability to work under pressure to deadlines.
  6. Must hold proof of right to work in the UK.
