Are you passionate about working with cutting-edge ultrasound technology and love working with people? At Canon Medical Systems, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a Clinical Applications Specialist in Ultrasound.

This role will be primarily based and covering the South West region, but will involve occasional travel nationally.

About the role:

At Canon Medical Systems, we offer a full range of diagnostic medical imaging solutions including CT, X-Ray, Ultrasound and MRI, and are committed to delivering optimum health opportunities for patients through uncompromised performance, comfort and safety features.

As one of our Clinical Applications Specialists, you will be responsible for providing clinical applications support to new and existing Canon Medical Systems customers. Your clinical ultrasound knowledge will be integral to this role, as you will provide comprehensive training to clinical users and promote our range of Ultrasound equipment in demonstrations and presentations to stakeholders. Extensive training on our Ultrasound products will be provided, and your enthusiasm for learning and passion for ultrasound will be key to your success in this role.

In this role, you will work in close partnership with your area’s Sales Specialist to achieve agreed sales targets by building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. You will also represent the company at exhibitions, study days and lectures in the UK and overseas when necessary.

What are we looking for?

  • Radiographer (degree or DCR), with a Postgraduate, or equivalent, qualification in Medical Ultrasound.
  • Significant clinical ultrasound experience.
  • Must hold HCPC registration, or equivalent.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written), with demonstrable presentation skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to different working circumstances.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Pro-active approach with the ability to work independently and as part of team.
  • Capable of building strong working relationships.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email systems.
  • Full UK Driving License and comfortable travelling nationally.
  • Valid proof of right to work in the UK.

  • £30,000 – £40,000 per annum, dependent on skills & experience

Join our team as a CT/X-Ray Engineer and become a vital part of the medical imaging field, where your work directly supports patient care and outcomes. We are looking for engineers who are passionate about problem-solving and technology. Whether you’re an experienced engineer or new to the field, we welcome all levels of experience to apply.

This is a field-based role, covering the North East of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. We are ideally looking for the successful individual to be based in the North East of England, within close proximity to Newcastle.

About the role:

Here at Canon Medical Systems, we offer a full range of diagnostic medical imaging solutions including CT, X-Ray, Ultrasound and MRI, across the globe. Our mission is to provide medical professionals with solutions that support their efforts in contributing to the health and wellbeing of patients worldwide.

As one of our CT/X-Ray Engineers, you will be the driving force in ensuring the seamless functionality of our CT and X-Ray systems. You will primarily be responsible for the repair, maintenance and modifications of our CT and X-Ray equipment. This is a field-based role and will involve regular travel across the region, while also providing occasional support to other regions in the UK if required.

Your excellent customer service skills will prove highly valuable in this role, as you will work both individually and as part of a team to ensure our customers’ needs are met. You will ensure our equipment has the maximum possible uptime in line with business performance indicators and ISO quality management systems.

Alongside this, we are seeking the following attributes:

  • Engineering qualification (ONC level is desirable) or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage own diary and comfortable travelling across the region
  • Valid proof of right to work in the UK and valid UK Driving License.
